About John:

Mr Sanday has over 30 years of investment management experience and brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise in the fields of investment banking and management, treasury management and financial services having served in commercial entities in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and Vanuatu before coming to Papua New Guinea.

A graduate in Business Management at the School of Business Studies from the University of Canberra, he has served in a variety of organizations in a various management positions dealing with financial trade services, international trading with stocks, shares, currency, banking services, bullion trading and financial advisory services. Mr Sanday now serves as a Director and Executive Chairman to; Melanesian Trustee Services Ltd, Metals Refining Operations Ltd, Melanesian Metals Corporation Ltd, Viti Mining Ltd (Fiji’s first locally owned mining company), Kava Koporesen Ltd, and Melanesian Capital Advisors Ltd.

He also serves as Director to various Boards in the investee companies of Pacific Balanced Fund. He was instrumental in establishing the first Trust Deed for Pacific Balanced Fund and establishing the first private trustee company, licensed by the Securities Commission in Papua New Guinea.

Mr Sanday has guided MTSL through its tough times between 2002-2007 as trustee to Pacific Balanced Fund and has ensured a compliant management with regulatory requirement and through perseverance, brought the Pacific Balanced Fund out of its dry spell to a more greener pasture today.
